Start Life Editing
My same old approach
Rebranding is often mistaken for addition, and announcement. A louder change, a new look. But the most refined behaviours are bound to happen in silence, where the habits are not centered around aesthetics, and the boundaries are self-evident. To me, alignment is not about becoming more, or less. I believe it is about allowing the choices to agree with your values, and letting life breathe again. When your decisions are aligned, they don’t require explanations. Things begin to fit because they are honest.
My approach remains the same, just edited.
The notion to change is often concealed as urgency. When the New Year is near, you’re urged to refine. New aesthetics, new systems, new habits. All that will wear out and weigh your inner state. I believe it does require heavy changes. Alignment has never been absent to me, it is just practiced with greater care.
The method I trust is editing. It does not depart from my morals or values, but rather, a a more polished and sophisticated approach of living. Editing is discernment. It is removing what dilutes transparency, and keeping what nourishes it. Whether its possessions, commitments, emotional balance, connections, or noise. These are often veiled as progress in life. Your clarity only emerges whenever there is less to handle.
I practice life with care. I recently landed my dream full time career, as a Content & Social Media Strategist for a chic local fashion brand. The milestone came as a result of staying aligned and disciplined, a practice I intend to continue into the following year. I was never about moving faster than anyone, it was about making the right choices to put myself forward that reflects my values and habits (which I was scared to do).
I would say, do it scared, do it tired, and do it quietly without noise. I guess that’s how people never saw my loud steps. I didn’t tell anyone outside of my circle (consisting of 2 people) my maneuvers and my actions. I’m not someone who will post or announce my moves loudly.
Look at your wardrobe. Your meals. Your routine. Your home. Ensure they reflect the person you want to be. If not, start editing. When they align with who you want to be, life feels coherent, deliberate, and effortless. When they don’t, they create underlying tension. Editing is not about drastic change, but slow and quiet curation. Take time into figuring out your steps, choosing what stays, and letting go what no longer serves. Let every small adjustment you inhabit begins with intention.
Your home: declutter, organize
Your digital space: clean your phone apps, emails inbox, and folders
Exercise habits: keep it consistent, sustainable, and enjoyable
Sleeping patterns: prioritize rest over productivity
Spending: align purchases with values, not impulse or status
Media consumption: unfollow, unsubscribe, and curate what you consume
Emotional energy: distance from draining relationships and space
Commitments: remove what is unnecessary or misaligned
Subscriptions: cancel what you don’t need
Boundaries: reinforce what protects you time, peace, and energy
As the new year begins, consider where edits are needed, not to create a new you, but to refine the self you have always been.

Loved this!! Hopefully I'll be able to edit my life slowly but surely 🙏
